Role Summary
The Marketing Manager will creatively and effectively lead all facets of marketing for B2B, B2C, and B2B2C audiences. Responsibilities span managing the website, social media, advertising, events, and campaigns to ensure clear, consistent brand communication that enhances the reach and value of the Butterfly Mark certification.
Working closely with the Chief of Staff and Marketing Director, this role involves crafting and executing strategies for client acquisition, retention, and brand awareness by generating new leads, fostering long-term client loyalty, and increasing consumer recognition.
As the primary marketing contact for luxury clients, the Manager will provide expert guidance and coaching to help clients promote their sustainability narratives credibly across various channels, ensuring avoidance of greenwashing and upholding rigorous transparency standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage content marketing on owned platforms, including website, newsletters, and editorial channels, highlighting client sustainability stories.
- Monitor and report monthly marketing KPIs across acquisition, retention, and awareness metrics.
- Oversee external creative, digital, and web agencies to deliver projects timely and aligned with brand standards.
- Collaborate with Growth, Client Success, and Sustainability teams for cohesive client journey delivery.
- Lead organic social media efforts on LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok, engaging team contributors and measuring performance against targets.
- Enhance consumer awareness of the Butterfly Mark via B2B2C partnerships and cross-channel amplification.
- Maintain and enforce brand guidelines, updating them annually and developing sector-specific best practices for clients.
- Drive the creative planning and execution of flagship campaigns such as Butterfly Week and the Positive Luxury Awards.
- Direct LinkedIn strategy to increase prospect engagement, brand visibility, and lead generation.
- Maintain up-to-date website content, liaise with web agencies for ongoing improvements, and analyze site performance.
- Produce high-quality marketing collateral to support Growth team initiatives and event promotion.
- Assist in managing paid digital campaigns (social ads, PPC, search), providing performance reports and recommendations.
- Advise clients on integrating the Butterfly Mark authentically across digital, packaging, in-store, and event touchpoints.
- Coach clients on transparent and credible sustainability communication to build trust and prevent greenwashing.
- Develop and maintain marketing toolkits, playbooks, and resources that maximize certification value for clients.
- Support client communications and marketing launches across Positive Luxury channels, offering best practice advice.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with client marketing and digital teams from onboarding to ongoing support.
Qualifications and Attributes
- At least 3 years' experience in marketing within luxury, sustainability, or purpose-driven sectors, with proven results in acquisition, retention, and awareness strategies.
- Strong creative vision paired with an understanding of luxury brand aesthetics and values.
- Exceptional copywriting and content creation skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communicator capable of influencing senior stakeholders internally and externally.
- Deep knowledge of sustainability marketing best practices, regulatory frameworks, and greenwashing risks.
- Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about sustainability's impact on business, society, and the environment.
- Proficiency with WordPress, Canva, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and PowerPoint; SEO and PPC experience is advantageous.
Additional Information
