Open Page Engineer

Role Overview

We seek an experienced engineer specializing in IBM OpenPages GRC platform development to design, implement, and maintain customized solutions aligned with business needs. This role requires close interaction with various stakeholders and adherence to best development practices within an Agile framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, configure, and tailor IBM OpenPages solutions based on specified business requirements.
• Design and build workflows, security protocols, role templates, and object models within the OpenPages environment.
• Develop and support custom components such as Triggers, JSP Helpers, task views, and system integrations.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, architects, and global stakeholders to translate business stories into technical deliverables.
• Manage application maintenance activities, including support, defect fixes, and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain integrations between OpenPages and enterprise-grade applications, databases, and reporting tools.
• Produce technical design documents, engage in code reviews, and uphold development standards.
• Assist deployment tasks, environment configurations, and migration activities.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, and backlog refinement.
• Partner with reporting teams, particularly Cognos, to fulfill reporting and data accessibility needs.

Candidate Profile

• 7 to 10 years of professional experience in IBM OpenPages development and project implementation.
• Proficient hands-on expertise with IBM OpenPages GRC Platform, version 7.3 or newer, ideally 8.x or 9.x.
• Advanced skills in workflow development, system configuration, triggers, and JSP Helpers within OpenPages.
• Solid programming background in Java/J2EE customized to the OpenPages platform.
• Experience working with Oracle/SQL databases and IBM WebSphere Application Server environments.
• Proven skills integrating OpenPages with other enterprise systems using APIs and database connections.
• Knowledge of IBM Cognos reporting tools is highly advantageous.
• Domain experience in Banking, Financial Services, Risk Management, Compliance, or Model Risk Management preferred.
• Familiarity with Task Focused UI development, Jenkins or CI/CD pipelines, batch jobs, and shell scripting is a bonus.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and excellent communication skills suited for Agile teamwork.
