Role Summary

The role involves designing, building, enhancing, and sustaining enterprise-level applications using the OutSystems low-code platform. The OutSystems Developer will collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders to deliver robust, secure, high-performance software solutions following best architectural and development practices. This opportunity emphasizes involvement in digital transformation projects, application modernization efforts, automation, and cutting-edge technology initiatives within an engaging, team-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain applications on the OutSystems platform.
• Provide ongoing application support including enhancements, debugging, and thorough testing for business-critical enterprise systems.
• Collaborate actively with business users, project teams, third-party vendors, ICT providers, and government agencies to meet operational requirements and execute new initiatives.
• Translate business needs into viable technical solutions through cooperation with Business Analysts, Developers, Testers, and other stakeholders.
• Engage in solution design, perform code reviews, integrate systems, conduct testing, deploy applications, and support production environments.
• Explore emerging technological trends and create Proofs of Concept to drive innovation.
• Ensure project deliverables such as technical designs, source code, and test documents meet quality and compliance standards.
• Adhere to organizational policies, governance, security standards, and development guidelines throughout project lifecycles.
• Utilize OutSystems development best practices and performance optimization across all phases of development.
• Support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes and contribute to improving development methodologies.

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in software development.
• Certified OutSystems Developer credentials, such as Associate Reactive, Traditional Web, or ODC Developer Certification.
• Proven hands-on experience in developing and maintaining applications on the OutSystems low-code platform.
• Strong grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC) frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience working within Agile software development environments.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to manage relationships with stakeholders.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Exposure to AI-driven tools like Microsoft Copilot or analogous technologies to expedite app development, debugging, workflow automation, and integrating data.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for handling work items, version control, release management, and deployment pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud-native application design and deployment practices.
• Experience in API integration, database interactions, and enterprise system connectivity.

Additional Advantageous Qualifications

• Cloud certifications from leading providers, especially AWS.
• Comprehensive experience managing projects throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• Understanding of OutSystems Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) Framework.
• Robust knowledge of application security principles, secure coding, and software quality compliance.
• Competence in conducting application, system, integration, user acceptance, and performance testing.
• Understanding of DevOps culture, CI/CD pipelines, and release management practices.
• Previous work experience within government, public sector, or other regulated environments.
