Planning Engineer

Role Overview

Takamul Project Management Company is looking for a seasoned Planning Engineer based in Saudi Arabia to take ownership of creating, tracking, and managing project timelines throughout all project phases. The role involves facilitating timely project delivery by implementing thorough planning, schedule management, progress evaluation, delay investigation, and supporting project control measures, while engaging with multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update project schedules using Primavera P6 software.
• Develop baseline schedules, detailed plans, and recovery strategies.
• Continuously monitor project progress and reflect changes in the schedule.
• Identify schedule deviations and propose necessary corrective measures.
• Evaluate schedules and progress reports submitted by contractors.
• Generate comprehensive weekly and monthly planning reports and dashboards.
• Conduct delay analyses including Time Impact Analysis and assist in preparing Extension of Time claims.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, contractors, and consultants to coordinate planning efforts.
• Track critical milestones, paths, and optimize resource usage.
• Support overall project control and progress reporting during all stages of projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Certification in Primavera P6 is highly desirable.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) credentials are advantageous.
• At least 8 years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years in Project Management Consultancy within Saudi Arabia or the Gulf Cooperation Council region.
• Experience working on Residential, Commercial, Hospitality, Healthcare, or Mixed-use projects.
• Proficiency in English is required; Arabic language skills preferred.

Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Strong understanding of the Critical Path Method (CPM).
• Expertise in progress tracking and reporting techniques.
• Competence in delay analysis and Time Impact Analysis methodologies.
• Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and coordination skills for cross-functional teamwork.
