PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer

About the Role

Rasco Industries, based in Pune, Maharashtra, is seeking a proficient PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer with comprehensive expertise in industrial automation, servo programming, and manufacturing system controls. This full-time role requires 5 to 10 years of experience to manage and enhance automation projects from programming to troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and program PLCs primarily using Ladder Logic techniques.
• Conduct servo programming focused on motion control aspects such as positioning, speed regulation, and synchronization.
• Create and maintain SCADA systems and develop human-machine interfaces (HMI) for operational control.
• Lead automation, integration, and commissioning activities for machinery.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on PLC and servo-driven systems within production environments.
• Interface with sensors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), actuators, and control panels to ensure smooth automation functions.
• Analyze and optimize existing automation and motion control systems to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Document technical processes and maintain thorough records related to system configurations and modifications.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Proficient in PLC programming with mandatory knowledge of Ladder Logic.
• Experienced with Siemens PLC platforms including TIA Portal and S7.
• Hands-on familiarity with Mitsubishi PLCs, which is preferred.
• Skilled in servo drives and multi-axis motion control systems.
• Experience developing SCADA and HMI systems.
• Knowledgeable about industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP.

Preferred Experience

• Background working within manufacturing or automation industries.
• Strong understanding of control panels and electrical troubleshooting processes.
• Prior involvement in machine commissioning projects.
• Added value for expertise in multi-axis motion control systems.

Educational Qualifications

Applicants should hold a Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering, or Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation engineering fields.
