Procurement Assistant

About the Role and Company

This position is offered through Oriental Merchant Holdings Pte. Ltd., supported by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) under the JSIT Wholesale Trade initiative. SBF and JSIT facilitate connections but do not serve as employment agents; all hiring decisions rest with the company.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor inventory levels at warehouses located in Australia, New Zealand, and the Netherlands to ensure accurate stock replenishment.
• Handle order processing, contract administration, and shipping paperwork to guarantee timely delivery of goods.
• Review weekly inventory reports to proactively identify and rectify short stock or overstock scenarios.
• Promptly update the procurement director about inventory concerns or price adjustment requests.
• Report any irregularities such as supplier problems, shipping delays, or unexpected changes in stock movements.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and shipping agents to ensure smooth shipment operations and assist with account receivables as necessary.
• Produce, analyze, and present procurement data reports as requested by the procurement director.

Requirements

• Proficient in English with strong written and oral communication skills to interact effectively with international stakeholders.
• Good computer literacy is advantageous.
• Excellent multitasking abilities, high organizational skills, and an aptitude to meet deadlines consistently.
• Proactive mindset focused on problem-solving and process enhancements.
• Capable of working cooperatively in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
