Overview
Situated in Cairns, the Production Coordinator will ensure that Supervisors and Contractors receive clear, actionable plans detailing timelines and quality expectations to meet project scopes on schedule, budget, and quality benchmarks. This role involves close collaboration with Supervisors to guarantee deliverables are completed fully, timely, safely, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop plans for daily and weekly tasks within assigned projects.
- Identify risks or constraints affecting task completion and consult with stakeholders accordingly.
- Promptly escalate and collaboratively address any issues or risks that arise.
- Support compilation and submission of Operation Quality Evaluation (OQE) reports as needed.
- Oversee procedure execution and provide feedback to the Quality Assurance team to ensure procedures align with task requirements.
- Manage subcontractor coordination including soliciting quotes, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring work adherence to specifications.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide counseling to employees.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Possession of a relevant Trade Qualification.
- Experience in project management or supervisory roles.
- Proficient leadership capabilities including interpersonal, people management, communication, and coaching skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and commercial Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Strong skills in time management, resource allocation, and scheduling.
- Eligible for Defence Security Clearance and Defence Common Access Card (DCAC).
- Marine or ship repair experience is advantageous.
- Experience in Defence projects is preferred.
