Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project & Program Scheduler to join our Infrastructure Management Office within the Sustainable Infrastructure group’s Portfolio Performance and Controls function. Reporting to the Portfolio Schedule Lead, the role involves supporting the delivery of capital projects and programs through development and maintenance of integrated schedules, forecasting and performance insights, and comprehensive reporting that facilitates effective project controls and decision making.

This position requires collaboration with Project Managers, Engineers, Contractors, and various stakeholders to monitor schedule performance, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure successful delivery of a diverse infrastructure project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Define schedule baselines and track project progress against approved plans.
• Generate forecasts, completion estimates, and schedule performance reports to inform management decisions.
• Conduct critical path, float, and 'what-if' analyses to uncover risks or opportunities impacting project delivery.
• Monitor milestones, dependencies, and contractual obligations across projects and programs.
• Assist in developing mitigation and recovery strategies addressing scheduling risks or delays.
• Work alongside project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to assess progress and promote successful outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvements in scheduling, reporting, and project control practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Formal tertiary education in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, or substantial equivalent experience.
• Proven expertise in project and program scheduling within capital infrastructure, engineering, or construction sectors.
• Proficiency with project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project or comparable tools.
• Strong knowledge of project control methodologies, forecasting, and schedule performance analysis.
• Excellent communication, relationship building, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Ability to influence outcomes and clearly articulate complex information.
• Detail-oriented and proactive with a strong focus on finding solutions.

About Sustainable Infrastructure

Our Sustainable Infrastructure unit is responsible for planning, designing, and delivering critical water and wastewater infrastructure necessary for South Australia’s communities—both now and in the future. The team focuses on shaping long-term infrastructure solutions, integrating sustainability and resilience into major capital projects.
