About the Role

We are seeking a Proposals Engineer to join our team at our Head Office in Loughrea, County Galway. This role offers a competitive salary and involves a range of tasks focused on preparing bids and procurement documentation to support securing future projects.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare Tender and Pre-qualification documents to secure upcoming contracts.
Perform detailed quantity take-offs of materials and equipment.
Compile and manage Requests for Quotations (RFQs), ensuring thorough and detailed supplier responses.
Develop detailed engineering designs and bills of quantities.
Write and review detailed submissions and bids before final submission.
Coordinate effectively between Mechanical & Electrical Designers and Civil & Structural Designers.
Create Method Statements for project execution.
Engage with suppliers and oversee procurement based on detailed take-offs.
Evaluate incoming RFQs and produce comparative analyses to assist in supplier and subcontractor selection.
Maintain communication with clients throughout relevant processes.

Requirements and Qualifications

A degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
At least 5 years of experience in a similar proposals engineering role.
Strong time management abilities to meet deadlines efficiently.
Proficient in MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
