Role Overview
We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer responsible for devising and implementing both exploratory and automated tests to maintain product quality. The role involves reviewing system requirements, debugging, establishing corrective measures, and tracking quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, delivering prompt and insightful feedback.
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-organized test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and manage testing activities effectively.
- Create, develop, and run automation scripts leveraging open-source tools.
- Document and record bugs thoroughly, and monitor the tracking process.
- Conduct rigorous regression testing after bug resolutions.
- Implement and refine testing processes for new and existing products aligned with client demands.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including developers and product managers, to understand system requirements.
- Oversee the results of debugging processes.
- Analyze causes behind software non-conformity and train users in implementing solutions.
- Maintain and report on quality assurance metrics like defect densities and open defects.
- Keep abreast of emerging testing tools and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in test automation utilizing Cypress or Appium.
- Proven background in software quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, processes, and tools.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and detailed test plans and cases.
- Hands-on experience with both white-box and black-box testing techniques.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Solid understanding of SQL and scripting languages.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum project environments.
- Advantageous to have API performance and/or security testing experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
