Quality Control Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive Quality Engineer to oversee quality control at our heavy fabrication facility specializing in storage tanks, RO plants, and skid skid assemblies. This role demands ensuring all manufacturing processes comply with rigorous industrial pressure standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials such as steel plates and purchased components to validate their quality.
• Supervise in-process quality control, focusing on welding techniques (MIG/TIG) and dimensional checks to uphold structural soundness.
• Lead pressure and leakage testing along with final inspections prior to product dispatch.
• Maintain comprehensive quality control documentation and checklists to satisfy ISO certification requirements.
• Manage shop floor teams by instructing and enforcing quality standards to reduce rework and defects.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a minimum of three years experience in heavy fabrication or fabrication of pressure vessels.
• Able to interpret complex fabrication drawings and conduct thorough welding inspections.
• Must reside near or be prepared to work at the Gummidipoondi facility.
• Educational qualification of Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.

Compensation

The offered monthly salary ranges from 35000 to 50000 INR.
