We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Compensation & Benefits FP&A team, concentrating on management of salary, headcount, equity, and stock-based compensation. This role demands a curious mindset, strong financial discipline, and a continuous improvement approach to support key strategic financial decisions and manage forecasts and budgets.
Primary Responsibilities
- Take ownership of forecasting and variance analysis related to cash compensation and equity/stock-based compensation (SBC).
- Collaborate closely with Total Rewards and Technical Accounting teams on assumptions for equity grants, including vesting schedules, forfeiture rates, and SBC expense recognition.
- Assist in monthly close procedures pertaining to compensation and equity accounts, working with Payroll Accounting to align actuals with accruals.
- Maintain and enhance Anaplan modules used for compensation and equity forecasting processes.
- Support the monthly headcount and compensation forecasts, including start dates, backfills, and attrition, as they affect salary and equity expenses.
- Coordinate with the People Team to address Workday data integrity challenges impacting compensation and equity reporting.
- Generate reporting packages and conduct ad hoc analyses for leadership teams, earnings reports, and corporate financial statement line item submissions.
- Identify and lead process improvements aimed at increasing automation and minimizing manual reporting workload.
Experience and Skills Required
- Minimum three years of financial planning and analysis experience in a demanding environment.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced team setting.
- Effective communication skills capable of crafting compelling narratives and adjusting focus between detailed and big-picture views.
- Proficiency in financial modeling using advanced Excel and Google Sheets functions, along with solid problem-solving abilities.
- Meticulous, highly organized self-starter with a strong determination to understand business fundamentals and find solutions.
- Capability to juggle multiple overlapping projects and manage frequent changes in priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build effective collaborations across organizational teams.
- Prior experience with equity and stock-based compensation is preferred.
