We seek an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our Riyadh office team. Key Responsibilities

• Influence architectural decisions for a backend platform supporting millions of users.
• Engage in transitioning a monolithic application architecture towards a microservices framework.
• Design, enhance, and secure backend systems to sustainably handle large-scale growth in user base and products.
• Work with Docker containers, Kubernetes configurations, and operate within Google Cloud Platform environments.
• Lead and mentor team members as an integral part of the Backend Chapter.
• Adopt and promote design-driven development, SOLID principles, event-driven architecture, and comprehensive automated testing practices.
• Collaborate effectively within cross-functional agile teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute actively to continuous test coverage improvement, code refactoring, and technical documentation.
• Demonstrate proficient code review, debugging, and investigative abilities regularly.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in backend software development using technologies such as GoLang, Ruby on Rails, Java, or Python.
• Extensive knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases, including normalization, ACID compliance, isolation levels, indexing strategies, query tuning, and memory caching systems like Redis or Memcached.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and logging tools, specifically Grafana.
• A strong grasp of software architectural concepts, including Domain-Driven Design, microservices, Kubernetes, and containerization techniques.
• Proven experience in migrating legacy monolithic applications towards modern microservice architectures.
• Robust testing competencies encompassing unit and integration test authoring to uphold software quality.
• Ability to adapt and problem-solve effectively under ambiguous and rapidly changing conditions.
