Role Overview

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Wine Sommelier who will be essential in delivering an outstanding dining experience by focusing on superior wine service. You will collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to oversee wine inventory, offer expert assistance to guests, and support beverage operations effectively.

Key Duties

• Manage wine stock by facilitating delivery, organization, and record-keeping, maintain proper storage conditions, monitor stock rotation, and conduct monthly inventory checks while supporting ordering processes.
• Provide attentive and professional wine service, including making recommendations, pouring correctly, and educating guests on wine selections.
• Collaborate with the service team to ensure wines are served at optimal temperatures and with the appropriate glassware.
• Keep the wine service area orderly and clean, including polishing glassware and replenishing wine stations.
• Support the Restaurant Manager by preparing wines for service, organizing wine tastings, participating in staff training, and assisting with wine pairing events and special wine-related functions.
• Stay updated on wine list additions and seasonal changes to provide accurate guest information.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A bachelor's degree (four-year program) with at least six years of relevant experience, or two years in a lower role plus experience applying main principles or various methods related to wine service.
• Proficient English language skills for effective communication with guests and colleagues.
• Completion of relevant theoretical and practical courses or seminars related to wine and hospitality.
• Familiarity with MS Office and computer literacy.
• Solid understanding of industry legislation and systems, capable of advising staff as needed, and experience coordinating complex tasks across diverse areas.
