Store Incharge

Company Overview and Position

We are seeking a dedicated Store Incharge for our garment manufacturing unit located in Ludhiana, Punjab. This role reports directly to the Factory Manager or Operations Manager and is critical for the smooth functioning of our store department.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect all incoming goods including fabrics, trims, accessories, packing materials, and consumables, ensuring thorough documentation.
• Issue materials to production teams based on approved Material Requisition Slips (MRS).
• Maintain precise stock data using ERP systems or Excel, guaranteeing high accuracy in inventory records.
• Perform regular physical stock checks and promptly reconcile any differences.
• Implement proper storage methods, adhere to First-In First-Out (FIFO) approach, and maintain housekeeping standards like 5S.
• Monitor inventory levels continuously and liaise with the Purchasing department to ensure timely replenishment.
• Maintain comprehensive store records such as Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), MRS, stock registers, gate passes, and delivery challans.
• Ensure all materials are properly labeled, stored securely, and safety protocols are followed.
• Coordinate effectively with Purchasing, Production, Quality Control, and Accounting departments to facilitate seamless material movement.
• Implement measures to prevent material theft, loss, or unauthorized access.

Qualifications and Experience

• Graduate or Diploma holder in any discipline.
• Between 3 to 5 years of experience as a Store Incharge, preferably in the garment or textile manufacturing sector.

Essential Skills

• Inventory and warehouse management expertise.
• Proficiency with ERP software and MS Excel for stock tracking.
• Ability to conduct stock verifications and maintain accurate documentation.
• Knowledge and application of FIFO and 5S workplace organization techniques.
• Strong team leadership and communication skills.
• Understanding of garment fabrics, trims, and accessories.
