Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Store Keeper to join Aljomaih Energy and Water Company in Ash Shimasiyah, Al Qasim, Saudi Arabia. This full-time onsite role involves managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, overseeing stock handling, and ensuring the efficient operation of storekeeping activities aligned with organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain precise records of all inventory inputs and outputs to guarantee correct stock levels within the inventory management system.
- Perform regular physical stock counts and audits to verify inventory accuracy and detect any shortages or discrepancies.
- Manage the receipt and inspection of materials, equipment, and spare parts, confirming documentation correctness, quality standards, and appropriate storage.
- Ensure received goods match purchase orders in quantity and specifications.
- Optimize storage space by arranging items systematically and safely, implementing labeling and categorization for ease of access.
- Initiate requisitions based on inventory status and operational demand, collaborating with the Supply Chain Officer for approval and processing purchase orders timely.
- Continuously track stock levels, recommend reorder points to prevent operational disruptions, and handle surplus or outdated inventory in coordination with other departments.
- Maintain detailed and current records of inventory transactions and prepare inventory reports, including stock valuations and movement histories, for supervisory review.
- Comply with health, safety, and environmental standards concerning material handling, storage, and waste management, keeping the workspace clean and orderly.
- Engage effectively with maintenance, operations, procurement teams, and suppliers to ensure alignment in inventory and operational requirements.
- Advocate for and contribute to continual enhancements in inventory and warehouse management procedures while pursuing relevant training opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degrees or diplomas in supply chain management, logistics, or related fields are preferred.
- At least 5 years of practical experience in storekeeping or inventory management, ideally within an industrial or power generation context.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- In-depth understanding of inventory control methods and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy of records.
- Physical capability to safely handle and move heavy items and undertake warehouse-related tasks.
