Key Responsibilities

Take operational charge to manage and enhance end-to-end supply chain processes.
Support the Director of Supply Chain Management in implementing strategic initiatives and managing global projects.
Analyze and improve material and information flows among suppliers, manufacturing sites, and customers.
Conduct risk management along the supply chain, addressing bottlenecks, geopolitical risks, and transportation challenges.
Prepare and monitor forecasts and capacity planning collaboratively with production and sales teams.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as forecast accuracy, on-time in-full (OTIF), and inventory turnover, and develop action plans to boost performance.
Participate in projects focusing on digitalization, process optimization, and risk management.
Manage interfaces with purchasing, production, sales, and external partners.
Develop decision-making materials for the Director of Supply Chain Management.

Candidate Requirements

Completed academic degree in business, engineering, or related fields like business administration, industrial engineering, or business informatics.
Several years of professional experience in supply chain management or logistics.
Preferably experience in consulting settings, especially in management consulting focusing on supply chain, process optimization, or transformation.
Strong understanding of operational supply chain processes and strategic topics.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP and modern planning tools.
Excellent analytical thinking, structured work approach, and high problem-solving skills.
Effective communication abilities and confident demeanor in an international environment.
Fluent proficiency in German and English languages.
Willingness to travel as required.

Additional Information

The position is based full-time and permanently in Herne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
