Job Overview

We are seeking a Talend Developer to design, build, maintain, and enhance ETL processes utilizing Talend Open Studio and Talend Server. This role involves translating complex business and technical needs into effective data transformations, structured workflows, and dimensional modeling to support our data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Create, maintain, and optimize ETL jobs using Talend tools.
Translate business requirements into data interfaces, transformation processes, and dimensional data models.
Contribute to the design and scalability of the data architecture ensuring maintainability and performance.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, database stored procedures, and transformations.
Manage integration of data from various source systems and environments.
Monitor ETL execution, resolve data quality issues, and handle production incidents.
Participate actively in deployment, continuous integration/delivery pipelines, and release management.
Ensure adherence to data governance, security protocols, and development standards.
Document data flows, mappings, technical specs, and architectural decisions thoroughly.
Collaborate with cross-functional distributed teams including data architects, DBAs, analysts, QA, and project managers.
Mentor peers and encourage best practices in Talend development.

Technologies and Tools Used

Talend ETL: Proficiency in Talend Open Studio and Talend Server.
Talend Administration Console (TAC).
Strong command over SQL and Java/J2EE programming.
Dimensional data modeling and data warehousing knowledge.
Cloud platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
Version control using Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills and Experience

Comprehensive experience with Talend Open Studio and Talend Server for both development and administration.
Advanced SQL skills.
Java and J2EE proficiency.
Hands-on experience with dimensional data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
Familiarity with cloud environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Quick learning aptitude and strong collaboration capabilities.
Excellent communication skills in English and French.
