Telecommunication Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Telecommunication Engineer with at least five years of solid experience in the telecom field. The candidate should possess hands-on knowledge of installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of telecommunication systems. Expertise in TETRA communication systems, Cisco networking devices, and telecommunication tower setup is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and commission telecom systems and network infrastructure.
• Handle the installation and integration of TETRA radio communication networks.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Cisco switches and other network equipment.
• Oversee installation, erection, and commissioning of telecom towers and related structures.
• Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance on telecom devices.
• Detect and fix faults in network and communication systems.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to complete projects on schedule.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, documentation, and as-built records.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a similar engineering field.
• At least 5 years of working experience within the telecommunications sector.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience with TETRA Radio Communication Systems, Cisco Switch configuration and troubleshooting, telecommunication tower installation and commissioning, structured cabling, fiber optic systems, IP networking, and LAN/WAN technologies.
• Capability to understand and interpret technical drawings and network schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in team environments.
• Awareness of international telecom standards and safety procedures.

Additional Preferences

• Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are a plus.
• Experience with large infrastructure, utility, or government telecommunications projects is desirable.
• Familiarity with fiber optic testing methods including OTDR and Fusion Splicing is advantageous.
• Possessing a valid driving license is beneficial.
