Test Analyst

Role Overview

Coforge is looking for an experienced Test Analyst in Sydney on a permanent full-time basis. The role calls for a professional with solid capability in test planning, test strategy, functional testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT). The main objective is to help deliver reliable software by running structured tests, managing defects, producing clear reports, and following established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, update, and own test plans, test strategies, and test approach documents.
• Prepare Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM) to confirm end-to-end test coverage.
• Draft, review, and run detailed test cases and test scenarios from business and functional requirements.
• Carry out functional testing, support SIT, and assist with UAT activities.
• Record, monitor, and resolve defects until closure.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and fix issues.
• Maintain test records, execution summaries, defect logs, and test completion reports.
• Track testing progress and share timely status updates with project stakeholders.
• Follow company testing standards, methods, and QA practices.
• Contribute to estimates, risk reviews, and ongoing process improvements.

Required Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate should bring proven experience in software testing and quality assurance, along with practical exposure to test planning, strategy creation, and traceability management. Hands-on experience in SIT and UAT is essential, as is a strong understanding of functional testing. Familiarity with defect lifecycle tracking, test documentation, and communication with stakeholders is also expected. A working knowledge of SDLC and STLC, plus the ability to assess requirements and identify test scenarios and coverage gaps, will be important for success in this role.
