Role Overview
We seek a talented and passionate Video Editor eager to grow and contribute creatively. This role involves bringing videos to life by editing footage for scripted productions, unscripted challenges, and gaming videos. Responsibilities include media management, project setup, assembling video cuts, and adding creative elements to make content engaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage media assets and organize projects efficiently.
- Assemble and edit video cuts to create polished final outputs.
- Add creative touches such as animations, transitions, music, and sound design to enhance viewer experience.
- Collaborate closely with senior editors and creative leads to refine pacing and engagement.
- Work alongside other editors to share editing techniques and maintain quality.
- Meet deadlines consistently, preferably delivering drafts early and iterating quickly on feedback.
- Respond to feedback openly and incorporate changes effectively.
Desired Experience and Skills
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere for video editing.
- Strong ability in media management and project setup.
- Experience with animations, motion graphics, and sound design is a plus.
- Knowledge of rotoscoping and basic compositing using After Effects is advantageous.
- Understanding of multi-camera editing workflows.
- Familiarity with contemporary internet trends and meme culture.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with creativity and reliability.
Additional Information
The team operates from the greater Nashville area and is willing to assist with relocation for the right candidate. This role is onsite and demands collaboration closely with creative teams. The work style is quick, punchy editing typical of YouTube's audience engagement style, emphasizing retention and bold motion effects.
