Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled VMC Machine Operator to efficiently set up and operate Vertical Machining Centers (VMC), including models such as Fanuc and Mitsubishi. This role involves preparing the machines by loading the appropriate programs, selecting and adjusting cutting tools, and carrying out the precise machining of materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate VMC machines by loading programs and setting up necessary tools.
- Interpret and analyze detailed technical drawings to comprehend required dimensions, tolerances, and machining procedures.
- Inspect completed components using precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers to verify adherence to specifications.
- Choose, install, and fine-tune cutting tools to optimize machine performance and product quality.
Experience and Skills Required
- Demonstrable experience working with CNC or VMC machines in an industrial production setting.
- Thorough knowledge of G-code and M-code programming languages.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve machine issues or make necessary operational adjustments.

The candidate should be prepared for extended periods of standing and must be willing to work in shift patterns if required.
