Job Overview
This role focuses on the development, maintenance, and enhancement of IT applications to provide efficient and cost-effective information services aligned with the company's business needs. The position involves designing and implementing enterprise solutions for the e-Learning setup at ATA, analyzing user requirements, developing prototypes, conducting end-user training, and managing technical issue resolution with relevant teams. Ensuring the conformity of software deployment and integration with ADNOC IT governance is also a key duty.
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly plan for system capacity to ensure resources meet current and future demands.
- Apply modifications and enhancements to existing applications, accompanied by thorough testing to verify alignment with business objectives.
- Confirm project requirements through collaborative review with stakeholders regarding objectives, inputs, and outputs.
- Sequence programming tasks based on detailed analysis of requirements.
- Create workflow charts and diagrams utilizing computer capabilities, domain knowledge, programming languages, and logic.
- Translate workflows into computer code while testing and adjusting application operation as necessary.
- Develop validation checks to maintain data consistency and integrity and facilitate prompt troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with involved parties in building, testing, releasing, and deploying application changes.
- Prepare comprehensive user manuals and maintain detailed documentation of development and revisions.
- Monitor system performance and conduct periodic tuning and enhancements.
- Manage incident resolution throughout the incident lifecycle.
- Design and implement comprehensive enterprise solutions; communicate closely with subject matter experts to model business requirements technically.
- Promote innovation and support change management initiatives to continuously enhance operations and services.
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate team activities to achieve functional goals and ensure skill development.
- Contribute input to budget preparation and help manage expenditure effectively by identifying deviations.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant departmental policies, systems, and regulatory standards.
- Support achievement of departmental performance targets per company frameworks.
- Identify and implement tools and techniques that improve operational quality and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental policies and sustainability guidelines following ADNOC and international standards.
- Deliver management information system (MIS) and progress reports to company leadership.
Communications and Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate internally with team leaders across Information Technology and ATA departments.
- Liaise externally with various ADNOC Group divisions including IT, Audit & Assurance, and Communications & Corporate Social Responsibility.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of six years’ experience in a related field, ideally within the oil and gas sector, with expertise in application analysis, design, programming, relevant tools, and technologies.
- Proficiency in web-based application architectures.
- Professional certifications pertinent to the field.
