Arabic Language Expert - Remote Contract Role

About the Role

This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute remotely to AI data development by reviewing and generating bilingual Arabic and English content. The role focuses on assessing AI-generated answers for their logical soundness, accuracy, and clarity while providing expert feedback to enhance AI model training. The work is flexible, hourly paid, and allows you to operate from any location.

Key Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive AI training prompts and responses across varied topics to support robust model understanding.
• Evaluate, rate, and rank AI-generated answers to improve accuracy, fluency, and relevance in output.
• Detect inaccuracies, reasoning flaws, and bias within AI responses to ensure trustworthy model behavior.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or higher in Linguistics, Translation, Arabic Language, Communications, Journalism, or related disciplines.
• Native or near-native fluency in Arabic, proficient in Modern Standard Arabic and at least one major dialect, ideally Egyptian Arabic.
• English proficiency at minimum C1 level in reading and writing for bilingual evaluation tasks.
• Three or more years’ experience in translation, localization, editorial quality assurance, content quality review, or linguistic evaluation.
• Meticulous attention to detail and consistent application of detailed evaluation rubrics in a fast-paced, hourly contracting environment.
• Strong fact-checking skills, comfortable using reputable sources to verify information when tasks require.
• Sharp analytical ability to spot reasoning gaps, methodological errors, and unclear explanations despite fluent language use.
• Self-motivated and reliable in asynchronous remote work, maintaining consistent availability and communication.
• Prior involvement with AI data training, annotation, or evaluation workflows is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Arabic localization standards in the MENA region, including appropriate terminology, formatting, and cultural nuance, is advantageous.
