Goodstart Proserpine is looking for an experienced early learning leader to step into the Assistant Director position at its centre on 16 Keith Johns Drive, Proserpine, QLD 4800. This is a full-time role of 38 hours per week, offering a pay range of $44.39 to $45.84 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience, plus superannuation and benefits.

In this position, you will work closely with the Centre Director to strengthen centre performance, guide the team, and help create a positive, high-quality environment for children, families, and staff. Goodstart Proserpine serves children from 6 weeks through to school age and is set in a welcoming regional community in the Whitsunday hinterland. What you will do

• Partner with the Centre Director to lead the team and deliver high-quality early learning and care.
• Coach and develop team capability through mentoring and support.
• Take charge of centre operations when the Centre Director is away.

• Build respectful, two-way relationships with families and contribute to community connections.

Eligibility and safety requirements
