Role Summary
As an Associate Operations Planner, you will support the operational flow by assisting in product delivery to customer teams, maintaining system data integrity, and managing vendor relations. This individual contributor role plays a crucial part in coordinating component procurement aligned with production schedules and working closely with logistics to ensure timely deliveries to customer warehouses. You'll also troubleshoot system issues and propose solutions that minimize supply chain disruptions.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and monitor the movement of component inventory to ensure timely transit.
- Manage portal transactions by collaborating with Inventory Control, Contract Manufacturers, and Suppliers, resolving discrepancies in quantity and dates.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with vendors, global transportation, and internal teams to guarantee punctual project executions.
- Communicate forecasts for new product launches to vendor partners.
- Ensure accurate setup and maintenance of master data within SAP and PLM systems.
- Facilitate expedited shipping of components and assess impacts on production timelines.
- Lead detailed verification and accuracy of Bill of Materials, coordinating with Inventory Control to resolve discrepancies.
- Support physical inventory activities and assist in quarterly inventory reporting.
- Oversee daily system transaction issues at vendor bases, providing recommendations and informing stakeholders about downstream effects.
- Create and release Just-in-Time purchase orders to suppliers and manage non-inventory purchase orders as business needs evolve.
- Manage purchase order dates and system data consistency.
- Partner with the Quality team to manage product holds and ensure timely processing of samples.
- Generate necessary daily and weekly reports to support component tracking and product launch forecasting.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
- 1-3 years of experience within supply chain or related operational functions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Competence in building collaborative and trusted partnerships internally and with external vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with SAP and PLM systems.
