Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and technically proficient Associate Software Engineer with experience in the Salesforce platform. The role involves contributing as a key developer and collaborator with engineering teams and product managers to design and expand Field Service modules within the ServiceMax ecosystem. You will lead technical design and architectural efforts to build scalable and robust enterprise applications in a fast-paced agile environment, including working with AI-powered workflows and content management to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced Salesforce platform components and features from concept to deployment.
• Evaluate technical options to make decisions focused on scalability, maintainability, and business needs.
• Decompose complex challenges into manageable technical activities with reliable effort estimations.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that complies with Salesforce best practices.
• Investigate and apply alternative technologies and solutions within Salesforce tools.
• Create and maintain data models, Apex classes and triggers, Lightning Web Components, and integration services.
• Assess and improve application performance to enhance scalability and user experience.
• Diagnose and fix issues in production and testing environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including product managers, architects, QA, ensuring smooth software delivery.
• Support the build, release, deployment, and CI/CD pipeline activities.
• Manage, organize, and maintain content assets within Git repositories and ensure version control and repository hygiene.
• Coordinate with teams to maintain up-to-date technical and product documents and repository integrity.
• Oversee AI-driven workflow operations including monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing multi-step AI agent tasks.
• Enhance AI-assisted automation workflows and drive adoption of AI productivity tools.
• Maintain strong communication across teams to promote collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Proactively resolve ambiguity and take ownership from problem-solving to delivery.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in developing enterprise applications on the Salesforce PaaS.
• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and SOLID design principles.
• Proficiency in Salesforce Lightning Framework, Lightning Web Components, and advanced JavaScript.
• Expertise in Salesforce Data Modeling, Apex coding, SOQL/SOSL queries, and platform customization.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and their implementation in Apex or Java.
• Skilled at troubleshooting, debugging, and application performance optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, build and release processes in Salesforce environments.
• Exposure to Git version control systems and repository content management workflows.
• Knowledge or interest in Field Service, CRM, or service management domains is advantageous.
• Experience or familiarity with AI-powered automation, workflow orchestration, or generative AI technologies is favorable.
• Strong analytical, collaboration, and independent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in agile/Scrum development settings.

Preferred Certifications and Experience

• Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certifications.
• Previous experience with Salesforce Field Service or ServiceMax platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AI agent workflows and automation platforms.
• Competence with DevOps tools such as Git, GitHub, or GitLab, with automated deployment experience.
