Role Overview
This full-time, on-site Baker position is based in Singapore and involves creating various bread and bakery items following standardized recipes and production timelines. Key responsibilities encompass measuring and mixing dough, overseeing fermentation and baking processes, managing industrial ovens and bakery machinery, and maintaining consistent product quality. The role also includes assisting with food prep, upholding hygiene and safety standards, performing basic equipment cleaning, and contributing to production efficiency improvements. Cooperation with the production team and strict compliance with quality and safety protocols are mandatory.
Key Qualifications
- Proven expertise in bakery operations and baking methods within large-scale or commercial settings.
- Competence in food preparation techniques, including ingredient management, dough mixing, and precise control of temperature and timing.
- Capability to produce a variety of breads, especially those emphasizing health benefits like high-fiber and whole grain varieties.
- Experience baking cookies or similar goods with focus on texture, flavor, and aesthetics.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations such as HACCP and ability to follow SOPs and quality assurance procedures.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended durations, perform repetitive tasks, and safely handle baking materials and trays.
- Basic arithmetic and measurement skills to accurately follow and modify recipes as required.
- Background in bakery, food manufacturing, or related hospitality production environments; vocational or technical baking education preferred.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, and eagerness to adopt new techniques and technologies.
