Role Overview

The Cleaner position involves attending residential rental properties to perform cleaning services including move-in, move-out, rental turnover, and listing-preparation cleans. The ideal candidate will be experienced, self-directed, professional, and detail-conscious, able to work independently while adhering to cleaning protocols and documenting their work rigorously. This role also includes identifying and reporting any property issues requiring follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled cleaning visits at residential rental properties for various cleaning services such as move-in/move-out and rental turnovers.
• Carry out comprehensive cleaning duties covering kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living spaces, hallways, appliances, floors, surfaces, cabinets, and fixtures following company standards.
• Remove dirt, debris, dust, garbage, and any leftover items thoroughly.
• Wipe surfaces, counters, sinks, mirrors, doors, baseboards, and commonly touched areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors effectively.
• Clean the interior of appliances including refrigerators, stoves, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers as needed.
• Spot and report areas that need additional cleaning, maintenance, repair, junk removal, or follow-up attention.
• Take clear before-and-after photos and videos of cleaned properties and document completed work accurately.
• Submit detailed updates and notes after each appointment to keep the team and stakeholders informed.
• Maintain professional communication with landlords, applicants, tenants, and internal staff.
• Follow company procedures, cleaning checklists, access instructions, and appointment details diligently.

Requirements

• Prior experience in cleaning roles such as cleaner, housekeeper, cleaning contractor, or residential cleaner.
• Strong understanding of residential cleaning standards and procedures.
• Reliable means of transportation to travel between various residential locations.
• Possession of necessary cleaning supplies and equipment for appointments.
• Comfortable working independently in residential rental environments.
• Ownership of a smartphone with a high-quality camera (iPhone 13 or similar) capable of capturing clear photos and videos.
• Ability to write clear and concise notes and updates post-cleaning visits.
• Highly organized, punctual, professional, and attentive to detail.
• Ability to follow checklists, instructions, and access information accurately.
• Effective and respectful communication skills with landlords, tenants, applicants, and team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with move-in/move-out or rental turnover cleaning tasks.
• Experience cleaning residential rentals in preparation for photos, showings, inspections, or move-ins.
• Skill in identifying property damage, maintenance needs, junk removal requirements, pest issues, access problems, or safety hazards.
• Previous independent fieldwork experience with property management, leasing, cleaning, or home services organizations.
