About the Role

The Tesla Collision Repair Program is seeking a Collision Estimator to join the team and support its innovative vehicle lineup. This role involves assessing damage and preparing repair estimates specifically for Tesla vehicles, contributing to a world-class service environment centered on cutting-edge electric vehicle technology.

Key Duties

• Develop detailed repair estimates for collision-damaged Tesla models including Model S, Model X, Model Y, and Model 3, focusing on technical accuracy rather than sales considerations.
• Formulate repair plans following Tesla's unique repair protocols.
• Manage workflow by directing disassembly technicians to properly uncover all damages early in the repair process.
• Coordinate with insurance companies to submit claims and manage billing processes.
• Guide Collision Technicians in repair attempts when assessing whether to repair or replace components.
• Keep customers updated on their vehicle’s repair progress.
• Finalize billing and oversee vehicle delivery.

Candidate Profile

• At least five years of experience in automotive collision damage estimation.
• Familiarity with insurance procedures and requirements related to claims.
• Comfortable using computers and proficient with estimating software such as CCC, Audatex, or Mitchell.
• A solid background in automotive repair along with openness to cross-training for potential management roles.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with excellent customer service aptitude.
• Holding an I-CAR certification is desirable.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly pay ranges from $25.88 to $49.00, complemented by cash bonuses, stock awards, and a comprehensive benefits package effective from the first day of employment. Benefits include:
