We are inviting applications for a dedicated Commis Chef - Banquet to join our culinary team, supporting the preparation and execution of high-quality banquet meals for our clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing, cooking, and presenting banquet dishes in line with hotel standards.
• Ensure uniformity in taste, quality, and visual appeal of all food items.
• Support senior kitchen staff with daily operations and banquet event setups.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and proper handling protocols as per HACCP guidelines.
• Prepare ingredients and set up cooking stations following directions.
• Monitor inventory and communicate replenishment needs promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of all work areas.
• Help reduce food waste while improving kitchen efficiency.
• Work cohesively with both kitchen and service personnel to facilitate smooth event service.

Qualifications

• Possess a Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts or a related discipline.
• Previous experience working as a Commis Chef or Kitchen Assistant, preferably within hotels, banquet settings, or fine dining establishments.
• Basic familiarity with food preparation methods and kitchen appliances.
• Knowledge of food hygiene standards and safety regulations.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
