Content Designer

About the Role

Meta is seeking skilled Content Designers to create clear and intuitive user experiences through language. This role requires combining expertise in user experience, design thinking, and product strategy to build engaging product language and content frameworks used globally on platforms such as mobile, desktop, AR/VR, and hardware.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft and refine straightforward, compelling in-product language covering product flows, interface text, educational content, navigation terminology, and product naming across Meta's suite of products.
• Apply systems thinking to define design system guidelines, conduct audits of existing content, and develop product information architecture.
• Interact with product code by updating language through internal tools, reviewing code to ensure content accuracy, and personalizing user experiences through logic creation.
• Collaborate across disciplines by giving and receiving feedback to enhance product quality.
• Utilize Figma to communicate design concepts, build high-fidelity mocks and prototypes to aid decision-making processes among stakeholders.
• Work closely with engineering, design, research, marketing, and data science teams from product conception through launch.
• Lead workshops and sprint sessions to align teams on challenges, goals, and potential solutions.
• Partner with internationalization teams to ensure product content quality across all supported languages.
• Exhibit sound judgment in guiding product decisions, strategic direction, and team leadership.
• Proactively identify and manage cross-team projects, driving alignment among leadership and key stakeholders.
• Build internal communities to foster mentorship and growth among content designers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Over 9 years of experience in UX or Content Design roles.
• Demonstrated portfolio of wireframes, design mocks, or prototypes that effectively communicate concepts and solutions to multidisciplinary leadership.
• Proven ability to simplify and compellingly convey complex ideas to executive teams.
• Experience with tools for managing and scaling content updates.
• Background in design systems and systems thinking approaches.
• Capability to initiate projects independently and manage ambiguity effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating AI technologies to improve workflow efficiency and content quality.
• Adaptability to context-switch among multiple projects, organizational partners, and varying scopes from high-level strategy to detailed UX writing.
• Knowledge and application of ethical AI principles including risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality assurance.
• Proficiency in AI-driven content design, including generative AI logic and defining assistant behaviors at a systems level.
• Senior individual contributor leadership skills to navigate complex scenarios and influence content strategy on critical product paths.
• Expertise in creating engaging consumer narratives within user-facing products.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams as the primary content design representative.
• Continuous professional development in AI-related skills such as prompt engineering and agent orchestration.

Compensation: Base salary ranges from $178,000 to $240,000 annually, alongside bonuses, equity, and benefits. Actual pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Monetary figures represent base salary exclusive of additional incentives.
