Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned strategic leader to serve as Corporate Controller, directly reporting to the CFO. This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial operations, providing precise financial reporting, enforcing robust internal controls, and developing scalable accounting systems critical for our ongoing growth.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the company’s accounting and financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP alongside strong internal controls and scalable processes.
Lead all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, treasury, fixed assets, inventory and cost accounting, and payroll oversight.
Administer monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to deliver timely and accurate financial statements.
Establish and enhance accounting policies, internal control measures, and reporting processes to protect assets and facilitate efficient decision-making.
Serve as lead contact for external audits, tax advisors, banking relationships, and other financial service partnerships.
Collaborate with the CFO on treasury responsibilities, including cash management, liquidity planning, lender communications, and financing compliance.
Oversee inventory and manufacturing accounting functions, ensuring proper valuation and financial controls supporting manufacturing operations.
Drive continuous enhancements within accounting operations by eliminating redundant tasks, strengthening controls, and enhancing the quality and speed of financial information delivery.
Support ERP system improvements and finance automation initiatives together with the CFO to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and FP&A teams to optimize inventory management, improve working capital, support strategic projects, and provide insightful financial analyses.
Lead and mentor the accounting team through direct involvement in daily work, fostering accountability, problem solving, and high-quality deliverables.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and ownership by setting strong standards and encouraging innovative thinking.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA or CMA certification required.
More than eight years of progressive accounting experience, with 3 to 5 years in a senior management capacity.
Comprehensive knowledge of finance, accounting, cost accounting, GAAP standards, and federal/state financial regulations.
Proficiency in ERP platforms and financial system implementations.
Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and deliver results within deadlines.
Proven leadership capabilities, critical decision making, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the capacity to collaborate cross-functionally.

Employment Terms

This position is full-time and onsite in Minneapolis, MN.
So Good Brand Inc. is a drug-free workplace that requires pre-employment drug testing and background checks.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from $140,000 to $170,000 annually, with a possibility of annual bonuses in addition to base pay. Benefits include:
