Credit Analyst

Position Summary

The Credit Analyst plays a crucial role within the Credit team by supporting Portfolio Managers and Loan Officers through the preparation of financial spreads and global cash flow analyses. This role contributes to the underwriting process for commercial loans by evaluating the creditworthiness of both prospective and current borrowers. Additionally, the Credit Analyst assists with the daily credit department operations, including administrative tasks, delivering timely analyses and information, and managing special projects as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional client service ensuring a positive experience through a friendly, helpful, and professional approach.
• Serve as a cultural ambassador by fostering a respectful and supportive environment for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed financial spreads as required for loan assessment purposes.
• Perform global cash flow analyses to evaluate repayment capabilities.
• Review, analyze, and offer insights on loan renewals and new commercial loan applications through comprehensive financial evaluation.
• Communicate effectively across various levels within the bank, adjusting communication style and methods to diverse audiences.
• Respond efficiently and professionally to inquiries and requests from clients and colleagues, managing daily duties with minimal supervision while maintaining service standards.
• Work independently and collaboratively to complete assignments promptly while ensuring the quality and accuracy of work.

Minimum Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication abilities and capacity to collaborate effectively within a team setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some experience with loan documentation and familiarity with financial statements.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to various software tools.
