About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join a prominent financial services organization in an office-based setting. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of 10-20 corporate clients, each with distinct data requirements, by overseeing the creation, production, and delivery of customized datasets that aid financial decision-making.

The position involves analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities to enhance reporting, and providing insightful analyses to support strategic decisions. A proactive approach, strong analytical capabilities, effective communication skills, and meticulous attention to data quality and security are essential.

Qualifications

Strong numeracy or analytical degree demonstrating ability to interpret complex datasets and recognize significant patterns.
Proven experience in data analysis within financial or corporate environments is preferred.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence clients effectively.
Competence in technical report writing and identifying reporting or process improvements.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including handling large data sets, statistical functions, and macros (training provided).
A determined and resilient work ethic paired with a positive attitude.
Must reside locally to Bromley, Orpington, Sidcup, or Chislehurst as the role is office-based.

Responsibilities

Maintain high professional standards and strictly follow data security policies.
Build and sustain strong client relationships, ensuring excellent service through effective data collection, collation, and analysis.
Design, specify, and develop Excel-based datasets in partnership with clients and colleagues to address analytical needs.
Develop a thorough understanding of market conditions including competitor behavior, customer data, technology trends, regulations, and political factors.
Leverage market knowledge to identify opportunities for reporting and process enhancements.
Provide detailed analysis of trends, anomalies, and performance metrics from numerical reports to support stakeholders.
Assist in preparing reports and presentations for meetings with clients and senior company personnel.
Remain informed on industry changes and continuously improve data analysis and reporting methodologies.
