- Evaluate paid advertising performance on Amazon Ads and Shopify channels, calculating metrics such as ROAS, CAC, and payback period, with recommendations for optimized budget allocation.
- Investigate product page and storefront conversion dynamics on Shopify and Amazon, identifying areas of leakage and factors influencing uplift before stakeholders raise concerns.
- Develop and manage dbt models to encapsulate devices business logic for scalable data reporting and self-service analytics.
- Create and update Tableau dashboards providing stakeholders with real-time visibility into sales, channel performance, and subscription attach rates.
- Leverage AI tools like Claude daily to enhance SQL efficiency, document findings, ensure quality, and accelerate analytical processes; promote AI-assisted analytics best practices within the team.
- Collaborate closely with marketing teams to define analytical priorities, validate data integrity, and proactively resolve any data or reporting issues.
Required Qualifications
- 4-8 years experience in data or analytics roles, with solid exposure to ecommerce or retail marketing analytics.
- Practical expertise with Shopify analytics and Amazon Seller Central or Amazon Ads data platforms, understanding their key metrics and data structure.
- Strong proficiency in SQL with experience creating maintainable analytics logic; dbt expertise is highly desirable.
- Fluent in using Python for data analysis, automation, and scripting, especially with pandas, with the ability to switch fluidly between SQL and Python as needed.
- Experience using AI productivity tools for analytics work, capable of validating generated outputs effectively.
- Deep understanding of attribution modeling in marketplace contexts, experimental design, and financial metrics such as LTV, CAC, and payback for hardware plus subscription business models.
- Proactive, independent problem solver able to navigate ambiguity and lead initiatives without close supervision.
- Skilled in translating complex business questions into structured analytical projects and effectively communicating results to senior leaders via visuals and narratives.
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on with Amazon Clean Room for privacy-safe audience analytics and closed-loop attribution.
- Familiarity with Amazon DSP or Amazon Marketing Cloud analytics tools.
- Knowledge of Shopify analytics APIs or third-party reporting integrations.
- Background working in businesses that combine hardware sales with recurring subscriptions, e.g., connected devices or smart home technologies.
- Experience designing and executing incrementality, geo, or A/B testing in ecommerce.
- Working knowledge of Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.
- Mentoring junior data analysts or performing peer code reviews.
Work Benefits
- Comprehensive medical, dental, vision insurance, and HSA contributions.
- Paid life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability coverage.
- 401(k) plan with company matching.
- Unlimited paid time off and paid company holidays including surprise bonus holidays.
- Professional development budget and mental health support resources.
- Access to 1:1 financial planning and fertility healthcare services.
- Inclusive paid parental and caregiving leave, including support services during leave such as home cleaning and meals.
