About the Role
MRM, a relationship marketing agency focusing on driving brand relationships through data-driven CRM, customer experience, and commerce solutions, seeks a Data Analyst. This role emphasizes statistical analysis and data science fundamentals with opportunities to advance skills and potentially engage directly with clients. Excellent communication is important as client-facing interactions may arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare routine bi-weekly and quarterly reports
- Respond promptly to ad-hoc analytics inquiries and requests
- Support website analytics efforts including Google Tag Manager tagging and generating custom Google Analytics reports
- Design tailored analytics dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI, or similar tools
- Contribute to automation of reporting processes
- Support campaign planning and evaluate campaign performance
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics or related fields with 0-3 years of relevant experience
- Fundamental programming skills in Python, especially with Pandas, and eagerness to improve
- Basic SQL knowledge including table joins, group by clauses, and case statements
- Understanding of statistical concepts such as hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, chi-square tests
- Familiar with data visualization principles and experience using at least one visualization tool like Tableau, PowerBI, Plot.ly, Seaborn or ggplot
- Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently following thorough onboarding
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, collaborative environment
Preferred but Not Mandatory Experience
- Interest or exposure to machine learning and predictive modeling
- Experience with Google Tag Manager and/or Google Analytics
- Familiarity with Firebase platform
- Background in scientific polling datasets and tools such as SPSS or pyreadstat
- Experience automating data collection such as web scraping and APIs
- Ability to write VBA macros
- Proven capacity for remote collaboration
