Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Analyst to contribute to an ambitious project to reconstruct our data warehouse on the cloud using Redshift and AWS Glue, integrate our Customer Data Platform, and deploy a new Business Intelligence platform. This role offers a valuable chance to enhance your cloud technology capabilities alongside applying your expertise in SQL.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve the Data Warehouse through SQL.
• Create and manage ETL workflows leveraging AWS Glue.
• Design and implement reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to ascertain their data requirements and deliver appropriate data solutions.
• Analyze extensive datasets to discern trends and informative patterns.
• Ensure the precision and reliability of data.
• Develop and keep up-to-date documentation covering data processes and procedures.
• Remain informed on the latest methodologies and tools in data analysis.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience as a Data Analyst.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python programming.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Glue or comparable ETL software.
• Familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Power BI.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem resolution capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Knowledge of source control systems, particularly GitHub.

Additional Information

This position is predominantly remote; however, attendance at meetings located at our head office in Gateshead is required. Therefore, applicants should be residents of the North East region of England. The salary offered is negotiable up to a maximum of £40,000, based on experience.
