Digital Office Manager

About the Role

The Digital Office Manager is entrusted with a critical role in leading the digital transformation journey of the organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Technical Officer, this position requires close collaboration with business stakeholders to comprehend operational complexities and identify technological innovations. The role is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of digital projects, from initial conception through execution, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and deploy the company's digital strategy by identifying innovative solutions that facilitate strategy execution.
• Lead and maintain QAFCO's digital vision and roadmap, overseeing digital initiatives across the enterprise.
• Spot and develop digital business prospects across the value chain addressing strategic and operational challenges.
• Manage the preparation and alignment of an integrated digital budget and expenditure plan with business goals.
• Coordinate with various departments to identify synergies and ensure cohesive integration of digital solutions.
• Assess and ensure digital investments deliver expected returns and align with business objectives.
• Develop specialized digital expertise through a Center of Excellence tailored to business needs and technological progress.
• Supervise the entire digital use case lifecycle from design, prototyping to full deployment ensuring smooth integration with existing processes.
• Establish and nurture sustainable partnerships with local and global innovation ecosystems to enhance digital innovation.
• Serve as a strategic advisor and primary contact for QAFCO executives on digital matters and future business prospects.
• Represent QAFCO at local and international digital and innovation forums, building key stakeholder relationships.
• Manage and review a portfolio of innovative ideas gathered from across the company.
• Collaborate closely with business units to understand and address operational challenges.
• Lead teams in the development and implementation of digital products while tracking progress to maintain alignment with business and IT objectives.
• Monitor digital strategy implementation, identifying risks and challenges, and establishing mitigation plans.
• Oversee ideation programs to discover new digital opportunities, ensuring compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.

Candidate Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline is mandatory.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in digital execution, innovation, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience within digital initiatives, preferably in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors.
• Project management certification such as PMP is considered advantageous.
