Role Overview

The company is seeking an Electronics Assembly and Soldering Technician to aid product development, prototyping, testing, and small-batch manufacturing. This role requires practical experience in PCB assembly, SMD soldering, rework, troubleshooting, and electronics manufacturing procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic PCBs and complete systems with precision.
• Execute both surface mount device (SMD) and through-hole soldering tasks.
• Perform rework and repair on faulty electronic assemblies.
• Fabricate wiring harnesses and cable assemblies as needed.
• Conduct visual inspections and maintain high-quality standards.
• Carry out basic electrical testing using appropriate tools.
• Support hardware engineers in prototyping activities.
• Keep detailed assembly records and documentation accurate and up to date.
• Follow electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection protocols and adhere to best practices in manufacturing.

Essential Skills and Competencies

• Proficient manual soldering skills with a steady hand.
• Experience handling SMD assemblies.
• Ability to manage fine-pitch electronic components carefully.
• Competency in PCB rework techniques.
• Familiarity with multimeter operation for electrical measurements.
• Capability to identify various electronic components accurately.
• Ability to interpret assembly drawings and bill of materials (BOMs).

Preferred Experience Areas

• Experience in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS).
• Background in industrial, automotive, or medical electronics.
• Knowledge of Internet of Things (IoT) product assembly and testing.

Eligibility

Candidates should hold a Diploma in Electronics, ITI certification, or B.Tech/B.E. degrees in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or Electronics.
