Role overview
Larsen & Toubro is hiring an Executive to handle industrial relations and administrative support activities in Mumbai. The role centers on employee relations, policy research, labor negotiations, and coordination with leadership and legal teams.
Key responsibilities
- Study data and background information to understand the cost and policy impact of negotiations and disputes, including proposals from management and unions, wage structures, benefits, work conditions, and similar factors.
- Carry out research through surveys, interviews, and other methods to review HR policies, pay and compensation, and broader employment-related issues, then suggest improvements where needed.
- Interpret and communicate employment-related laws and legal matters to managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Guide and train managers and supervisors on effective employee relations practices and approaches for handling supervisory issues and employee complaints, and create additional training when required.
- Represent the organization in contract discussions, meetings, and negotiations with employee and labor groups.
- Work with leadership on policy matters and memorandum of understanding terms before and during negotiation cycles.
- Coordinate with legal counsel and relevant departments to prepare for and participate in negotiations with employee and labor groups.
- Take on other job-related tasks as assigned.
