FMCS Site Commissioning & Control Integration Engineer

About the Role

We are recruiting two skilled FMCS commissioning engineers to assist a prominent global client in deploying and optimizing factory utility monitoring and control systems within a large manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with EPC contractors, facility vendors, and client representatives to verify I/O lists and point schedules.
• Set up and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and BACnet.
• Conduct comprehensive mapping and verification of data points between field devices, PLCs, and the FMCS.
• Configure and commission SCADA components including system graphics, alarms, trends, and historian integration.
• Assist integration of AI inference results into PLC control logic and participate in validating closed-loop control and safety testing.
• Identify and resolve commissioning challenges across control, network, and instrumentation areas.
• Maintain thorough commissioning logs, issue tracking, and technical documentation.
• Prepare final handover materials including as-built drawings, FAT/SAT documentation, and operation manuals.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least five years of FMCS or EMS commissioning experience with exposure to factory utility systems and operational logic.
• Proficiency with industrial communication protocols including Modbus RTU/TCP/IP and Bacnet MS/TP and IP.
• Experience with SCADA system configuration and commissioning.
• Ability to comprehend PLC ladder logic and structured text, trace signal paths, validate input/output behavior, and actively participate in commissioning activities.
• Hands-on experience supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), loop checking, point-to-point verification, cause-and-effect testing, and integrated system testing.
• Strong documentation skills with proven track record delivering as-built drawings, SAT reports, test records, issue logs, operation manuals, and acceptance packs.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of additional industrial protocols such as OPC-UA, Profibus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP.
• Basic PLC code modification abilities are an advantage.
• Experience integrating AI-driven control systems involving AI inference engines, FMCS, PLCs, and field devices.
