Role Overview
This pivotal role requires a seasoned business leader to take comprehensive ownership of an entire business unit, overseeing profit and loss, product strategy, team management, customer relations, and growth initiatives. You will act as the chief executive of your unit, bearing full responsibility for its outcomes and working closely with the executive leadership to shape overall strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire business unit, ensuring revenue generation, customer retention, product development, and profitability targets are met.
- Recruit, organize, and mentor a cross-disciplinary team including Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Commercial divisions.
- Lead B2B expansion, owning pricing models, sales processes, partnerships, developer marketing, and client growth strategies.
- Develop and implement strategic plans, defining competitive positioning and executing quarterly targets.
- Integrate your business segment’s offerings with BlueThrone’s broader platform and teams, ensuring scalability and alignment.
- Serve as the official representative of the business to clients, partners, and external stakeholders.
Required Expertise
- In-depth practical knowledge of the mobile app ecosystem, including subscription services, app store dynamics, software development kits (SDKs), monetization, and growth frameworks.
- Experience managing or developing B2B products tailored to mobile app developers or publishers such as SDKs, analytics, attribution solutions, monetization, or infrastructure tools.
- Proven track record of overseeing a business or department with full financial responsibility, surpassing mere functional management.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing, multifunctional teams with strong leadership presence.
- Executive-level operational mindset, capable of strategic planning as well as hands-on issue resolution and customer engagement.
Differentiating Qualifications
- Background in merging or acquiring companies or managing entities through M&A transitions.
- Familiarity with subscription-based infrastructures, revenue operations, or platforms designed for developers.
- Experience in managing commercial relationships with global B2B SaaS customers across varying business sizes.
- Strong proficiency with data analytics focused on cohort analysis, lifetime value, and revenue metrics.
- Comfortable working in startup environments with ambiguity and scaling operations, not limited to optimizing established systems.
