Position Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Grocery Associate provides a valuable opportunity to enhance your retail experience. This role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart's core values while managing and organizing the grocery section effectively. The position involves maintaining stock, pricing accuracy, and supporting the sale of grocery items.
Key Duties
- Organize and maintain the grocery department ensuring proper zoning of products.
- Rotate merchandise regularly and check for expired items to uphold quality standards.
- Confirm that all products are correctly priced and clearly signed.
- Adhere in full to food safety standards, proper food handling, sanitation, and cleaning protocols.
- Follow procedures related to ordering, markdowns, clearances, and labeling.
- Keep the department fully stocked and prepared for customer shopping.
- Comply with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Handle stock movements such as picking, downstocking when necessary, and product protection. Complete modular set-ups including flexible displays and shelf cap adjustments.
Compensation
The starting pay rate for this role is $18.00 per hour.
Minimum Requirements
- Applicants must be aged 16 or above.
