Role overview

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Housekeeper for Renal F, a renal ward that also cares for new renal transplant patients. This role is a chance to play a meaningful part in maintaining a welcoming, hygienic, safe, and comfortable setting for both patients and ward colleagues.

What you will do

• Keep bed spaces clean and ready for incoming patients.
• Look after cleaning and general care of ward equipment.
• Make beds and maintain tidiness in patient areas.
• Support the upkeep of patient lockers and surrounding bed areas.
• Help patients choose meals, following direction from the Nurse in Charge.
• Set up tables, serve meals, clean crockery, and refill water jugs.

The successful applicant should bring strong communication skills, work well as part of a team, and also be comfortable using their own initiative.
