Information Technology Supervisor

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and skilled Information Technology Supervisor to join our team at the Kenya Laundry Powder Factory. This position will oversee the management and routine upkeep of our network and CCTV infrastructure, ensuring continuous and efficient operation of these critical systems. The role requires working closely with multiple departments and providing essential IT support.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain daily operations of the internet network and CCTV systems within the Kenya Laundry Powder Factory, ensuring uninterrupted functionality.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather system requirements and coordinate with the construction team for the installation and management of new CCTV and internet systems.
• Conduct daily cleaning, inspection, and maintenance of network video recorders (NVRs), decoders, and surveillance cameras.
• Provide training to users on the use of different data monitoring system modules.
• Perform desktop operations and maintenance, and handle ad hoc IT support tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Knowledge of IT server room equipment and monitoring system integration.
• Experience configuring major monitoring systems; prior involvement in large-scale industrial deployments is advantageous.
• Preferred experience in optical fiber splicing.
• Proficient in installing various camera types (bullet, dome) and UPS power supplies, including routine maintenance of monitoring devices.
• Good understanding of Windows Server OS, Huawei switches, and basic switch configuration skills.
• Over 3 years of experience working with monitoring operation and maintenance systems.
• At least 1 year of practical experience in internet system installation and implementation.
• Familiarity with Haikang monitoring systems is a plus.
• Understanding of IT workflows within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of integrating monitoring, access control, storage, and server systems.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-departmental coordination.
• Proven capability to execute tasks effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
