Junior Purchase Engineer - HVAC Manufacturing

About the Role

We are hiring a Junior Purchase Engineer for an HVAC system manufacturing company located in Thane West. This role involves managing the procurement process for mechanical, electrical, and HVAC components to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure mechanical, electrical, and HVAC parts essential for production.
• Identify and source suitable vendors while soliciting competitive quotations.
• Analyze pricing, negotiate effectively with suppliers, and finalize purchase orders.
• Maintain regular follow-ups with suppliers to guarantee timely delivery of materials.
• Keep accurate records of purchases, including invoices and relevant documentation.
• Collaborate closely with production, warehouse, and accounting teams to streamline operations.
• Monitor stock levels to prevent any disruption in material availability.
• Build and sustain strong vendor relationships for long-term partnerships.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
• 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in the Purchase Department, ideally within HVAC or a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of purchasing procedures, vendor management, and negotiation tactics.
• Working knowledge of MS Office; familiarity with ERP software is a plus.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
