Position Overview

We are looking to hire a Junior Software Engineer skilled in full-stack development. You will contribute to both software and web development projects and work with various technologies including Java, Python, JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React, and ElasticSearch. Our engineering team fosters a collaborative environment where independent problem-solving is encouraged alongside comprehensive support.

Role and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong proficiency in Java development, which is mandatory.
• Develop software aligned with user functionality requirements provided by analysts.
• Translate mission objectives and requirements into intuitive software systems for end users.
• Utilize continuous integration practices to build sustainable, maintainable software.
• Engage with team members and users through interactive sessions such as whiteboarding and design document reviews to facilitate iterative feedback.
• Meet project deadlines and adapt to changing customer requirements as needed.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Mandatory strong experience with Java and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Additional experience with Python, Angular, ELK stack, Redis, RESTful Web Services, container technologies like Docker and LXC, Kubernetes, Helm, machine learning, data analytics, Android development, NoSQL and SQL databases, and Xmidas is advantageous.

Required Competencies and Abilities

• Holding an active Top Secret security clearance is required.
• Self-driven and highly motivated to achieve mission goals.

• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities when necessary.
• Experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams.

Compensation

The expected salary for this role ranges from $95,000 to $140,000 annually. Final pay will depend on factors including the role’s scope, candidate experience, education, certifications, company equity, contractual obligations, and security clearance requirements.
