Learning Specialist

Role Overview

The Learning Specialist is responsible for organizing and facilitating comprehensive training programs that empower employees with the necessary knowledge, skills, and motivation to perform excellently in their roles. This role entails collaborating across various departments to identify and address learning necessities using diverse adult education strategies. Each Learning Specialist develops deep expertise in a specific domain aligned with organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement onboarding, skill-enhancement, and other learning and development initiatives tailored to evolving organizational requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams including Patient Services, field management, and Marketing to create customized training solutions that address identified needs.
• Carry out needs assessments and instructional analyses to guarantee consistency in training materials and delivery methods throughout the company.
• Apply adult learning theories and best practices using diverse modalities such as virtual instructor-led sessions, e-learning, self-directed study, social media platforms, video content, and conference calls.
• Continuously explore innovative training strategies and process improvements to enhance training efficacy and development efficiency.
• Work closely with the Instructional Design group to devise online training content.
• Maintain accurate documentation of participant attendance and ensure completion of mandatory courses; provide progress reports and upkeep detailed training records.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience in instructional design coupled with proficiency in relevant instructional technologies.
• Preferably 2 to 3 years of instructor-led training experience within pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors.
• Strong understanding of learning and development techniques, formal content development methods, adult learning principles, and training technologies deployed for distributed audiences.
• Superior communication skills, both written and oral, complemented by effective presentation and public speaking capabilities.
• Proven ability to build cross-functional business relationships and collaborate effectively.
• Capacity to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced, and demanding work environment.
