MEP Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned MEP Engineer with over six years of experience to manage Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing activities in our residential and commercial construction projects located in Mohali, Punjab. This full-time position involves coordinating design, implementation, and quality assurance of MEP systems across current and forthcoming sites.

Key Duties

• Review and coordinate MEP drawings, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems, alongside architects, structural consultants, and contractors.
• Oversee on-site MEP implementation ensuring adherence to approved plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Conduct thorough quality inspections at various construction phases to ensure MEP systems meet standards.
• Prepare and scrutinize Bill of Quantities (BOQs), material requests, and cost estimates related to MEP works.
• Liaise with vendors and contractors to manage procurement, scheduling, and installation of equipment.
• Resolve any technical conflicts between MEP and structural/civil components encountered onsite.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including inspection reports, testing and commissioning records, and as-built drawings.
• Assist in drafting project timelines and track progress towards MEP-related milestones.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of six years of relevant hands-on experience in MEP execution, especially within residential apartment or group housing developments.
• In-depth understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Proficient with AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP or BIM software is advantageous.
• Strong skills in coordination and managing vendor relationships.
• Competent in Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and reporting purposes.
• Ready to work at project sites and travel as required between different locations.

Additional Preferences

• Previous work experience with real estate developers rather than solely contracting or consulting companies.
• Experience in high-rise residential or township projects is highly regarded.

Compensation

The salary offered for this role ranges monthly between ₹30,000 and ₹50,000.

Location

This position is based in Mohali, Punjab and requires on-site presence.
